A Race Against Blindness Launches “Ultimate Ford Garage” Fundraiser With Two Ford Vehicles Plus $40,000 Cash

Unexpected second chance brings the custom F-150 Raptor and Ford Explorer ST together in one $165,000 prize package supporting research for inherited retinal diseases

GILBERT, Ariz., Sept. 21, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- A Race Against Blindness charity has launched a new fundraiser with an unexpected story behind it. The Ultimate Ford Garage gives one winner a custom Ford F-150 Raptor, Ford Explorer ST, and $40,000 cash, a combined prize package valued at approximately $165,000. Learn more and enter for the chance to win here.

During A Race Against Blindness’ recent 250th Anniversary fundraiser, both winners chose the cash alternatives offered with their respective prizes. Vickie J. of Oregon was randomly selected as the Grand Prize winner, and Bob B. of Indiana was randomly selected as the First Prize winner.

Because of this, A Race Against Blindness had the unexpected opportunity to bring the two Ford vehicles together for one final fundraiser. There is no cash-only alternative for this Ultimate Ford Garage prize fundraiser.

One randomly selected winner will receive:

  • Custom Ford F-150 Raptor
  • Ford Explorer ST
  • $40,000 cash

Built by Westcott Designs, the custom F-150 Raptor combines performance, capability, and off-road adventure. The Explorer ST, provided by San Tan Ford, offers a very different kind of experience with sporty performance paired with the comfort, space, and versatility of an everyday SUV.

The Ultimate Ford Garage fundraiser runs through September 27, 2026.

A Race Against Blindness is deeply grateful to the donors, sponsors, and community who make this work possible. Every fundraiser helps move promising research forward and gives families hope for a future where children facing vision loss have the opportunity to see all of life’s adventures for themselves.
